How does GiGTiP™ work if it doesn't use an app?
GiGTiP™ uses web links and QR Codes. Simply point your mobile phone camera at the QR code and follow the link. GiGTiP™ connects to eTip.io as a web page. It is every bit as secure as an app, but does not require the tipper to install an application to tip.
How Do I get paid?
Performers download the eTip.io application for iPhone or Android. Once you log in with your phone number, you choose how you want to be paid. You can choose debit card, ACH transfers, Prepaid Visa cards, and now an eTip debit card. Details on eTip.io here.
What does it cost to use?
GiGTiP™ is free to signup, and the TipPak is also free. There are no monthly subscription fees. We make our money by earning a flat 7.5% of the tip amount using eTip.io only. All other methods (like Venmo or CashApp) are not charged any fees. Find a full description and a chart of common tip amounts Here.
Venmo is Free. Why should I pay to use GiGTiP™?
Venmo is great. USE BOTH! We show YOUR VENMO LINK NEXT TO OURS. So are cash buckets. Keep using them! GiGTiP™ provides the tools to increase your tip intake with some things you can't get from your personal Venmo account, and for people who don't carry cash.

Can I use GiGTiP™ to sell merch?
Unfortunately no. GiGTiP™ can only be used for tipping. It's a tax thingy. But if you want to sell merch with credit cards, there are LOTS of ways to do that…cheaper than using GiGTiP™! Check out Venmo, GoDaddy, Stripe for starters.
If you use Venmo for merch sales, you can simply have your Venmo link on your GiGTiP™ page…and sell merch with Venmo on your GiGTiP™ tipjar.
Can I get my band/troupe/ensemble set up to automatically split the tips?

Who is eTip.io?
eTip.io is the leading “end-to-end” tipping platform for the hospitality industry. eTip.io clients include large hospitality brands like Hilton, Wyndham, Hyatt etc. and as such, they provide e-tipping for valets, housekeeping, bar staff etc. GiGTiP™ acts like an eTip.io “reseller”. Instead of bar staff and valets, we have musicians, comedians and all types of performers. GiGTiP™ performers have very specific needs that GiGTiP™ has partnered with eTip.io to provide. Can I use GiGTiP™ outside of the United States?
Nope. GiGTiP™ is currently limited to United States performers. Taxes..right? You get it.
